Ring pages are the traditional way to sample upholstery fabric.
Ring pages can be effective for displaying both a group of different colors of the same
pattern, or a group of correlated fabrics of different patterns.
Normally, a customer will develop an initial set of ring pages
and then over time add additional pages. The pages are drilled at the top and the holes
are reinforced with metal grommets. A set will be looped onto 2 screw rings linked by a
carry handle. A vinyl screen-printed cover goes on the screw rings over the set to protect
it.
Key Benefits
A ring set can be worked, i.e. discontinued pages or poor sellers
can be removed and new pages added, thus keeping the book "fresh" and current.
This format is excellent for displaying fabrics that have a large
repeat that wouldn't show to the best advantage on a swatch card. At the same time, for
fabrics with no repeat or solids, the size of the large color can be cut down to reduce
the yardage requirements while still showing a large enough swatch to get the message
across.
13" x 18" overall size is very fabric efficient in terms
of yardage required for the master color whether the fabric design runs across the roll
(regular), or down the length of the roll (railroad).
