PricingSample books are advertising tools. When properly conceived and executed they are an effective sales aid. Our job is to bring your vision to reality. Sampling costs money! Of course you already knew that, your question is how much for you to bring your project into being? We can give you a definate, "that depends", as an answer to your question. Some of the items that affect price for a particular job might be: Quantity - Any project involves a number of operations to complete, each of which requires setup time. The cost of these setups is divided over the entire job. Obviouslly, the amount of setup apportioned to each unit of the project goes down as the quantity goes up. Fabric - Fabric costs money. The larger the swatch size, the less pieces/yard you are going to get out. The larger the swatch size, the greater your cost in fabric required. Therefore, it is important to look at the type of fabric you are dealing with to determine the smallest effective swatch size you need. There are certain basic swatch sizes based upon the width of fabric you will be using. We will be happy to help you determine what swatch size makes the best use of your sampling dollar. Printing - There is an infinate variety of ways you can say something. The printing price is going to be based on the way you choose. In part, the printing price is going to be determined by the number of units you are requesting for the same setup issues listed above. In part, the price will be determined by the number of colors of ink you desire to be used on your printing. This could range from a single color up to a 5 or 6 color job with color photography. More colors requires more time/more complicated printing presses, each of which carries an associated cost. In part, the price will be determined by the size of the item you are requesting. The larger the item, the larger the press that is required to handle it and the more paper stock that will be needed. In part, your choice of stock will determine the price. A special high end stock will be accompanied by a corresponding high end price. Additional Factors - There are a myriad of special operations your project could entail. Each of these has an associated cost. Among them are such items as drilling, round-cornering, laminating, riveting & grommeting, string or strap handles, collating, screw-posts versus staples, etc. Each of these operations either alone or in concert will affect the price of your project. So, How Do I Price What My Project is Going To Cost? Really, on your own, you can't. But, the best part is - you don't have to. All you have to do is call us. Tell us what your vision is for your project. You don't have to know all the answers going in. We will prompt you if the information you give us in an area is incomplete. We are happy to help you make a decision on areas where you are not sure by explaining what your options are and the associated cost for choosing any particular one. |
